Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart is a famous and cheap supermarket in America. Wal-Mart is a successful company in America and now they have bought land and are planning to build a new super center. Wal-Mart almost owns all of the market business in America. It can prove Wal-Mart is really successful and most customers accept shopping at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is a good place to go because it is very convenient for us.

Wal-Mart’s price is cheaper than that of other supermarkets, it usually has lot things we want to buy, and it is a 24-hours supermarket. “ It became the biggest employer overnight, setting wage rates for all retailers” (USA TODAY, 2003, par. 21). Wal-Mart also improves the economy. And it has created 125.000 jobs in U.S. (Hoenig, 2004).

Wal-Mart has become important in our life. Some people say Wal-Mart still will cost a lot of money, but the advantage is more than disadvantage. It gives us convenience for buy everything and improves the economy. “Wal-Mart is one of the most impressive success stories in the history of business” (Locke, 2004, par.4). “Wal-Mart’s influence on the U.S. economy has reached levels not seen by a single company since the 19th-cenetruy rise of Standard Oil” (USA TODAY, 2003, par. 1). And it offers us low-price. “Wal-Mart is especially popular among low-income shoppers who cannot afford the prices of the more upscale store” (Locke, 2004. Par-2). We can save money from Wal-Mart because it provides low price and serves communities with long hours.

In conclusion, Wal-Mart is a good place for us to go shopping. It gives convenience; we can buy cheaper stuff at Wal-Mart, and we also can buy it in the middle of the night. Therefore, the new super center is a very good plan for Carbondale, because it will bring another advantage for everyone who lives in Carbondale.

How to save and protect penguins

Our adorable penguins are disappearing now. My research paper is about penguins. I chose penguins for my research because they have become endangered. Currently our climate has changed, and the biggest reason is global warming. It pushes penguins to die. Now, a lot of pollution makes global warming and global warming makes the temperatures get warm. And global warming makes the sea temperatures become high until some creatures cannot live in there, and makes the sea ice melt. Therefore, penguins cannot live in their ecosystem anymore. They have to find other land to live on or go to extinction. A century ago, a lot of penguins lived, waddled, and swam to some islands. They were almost 120,000 penguins who live in our world and they could live very well. In the past there was a large number of these animals in our world. And penguins had a lot of different colonies in our world; some were African penguins, Gentoo penguins or Antarctic penguins. Now our society has a lot of developed technology and scientific stuff to use, so we make a lot of pollution in our world. It causes global warming and affects penguins’ lives, so penguins become less and less in our world, and fishing, hunting, and commercialism is also a problem. Our experts have found this problem, so now government has begun to protect penguins. They are doing some things like cutting greenhouse gases to protect penguins, because they want penguins to survive in our world.

Our adorable penguins are going to extinction because of global warming. It is caused by too many reasons, so people should save and protect penguins to be alive. Therefore, to save our adorable penguins we can do these methods. We can find a new home for penguins, we should ban some artificial activity that will push penguins to die and we have to do some solution to prevent and reduce global warming, to stop global warming from pushing penguins to die.

First, we can find a new home for penguins. Now, penguins are becoming extinct, because they have no place that can offer them a home, so finding a new place is important, so we can find new places that have abundant resources, and food that can provide for penguins. Then, we can offer artificial security care to care for penguins and make a new place where no external factors will cause penguins to die. Another thing we also can do is to take care of young penguins during the time when the penguins don't have a good immunity against high temperature.

Second, we should ban some artificial activity which will pushes penguins to die. These kinds of artificial activity also have a big effect to push penguins to die. Therefore, we should ban people from doing commercial fishing, harvesting, and hunting. And we should ban people’s importing of penguins and exporting of alien species that will cause penguins to become extinct.

Third, we have to do some solution to prevent and reduce global warming to stop global warming from pushing penguins to die. People can study new energy resources for reducing use of fossil fuel. Another easy thing we can do is we have to reuse and recycle, not to use any product for just one time, and like the greenbelt movement people have to plant a number of trees, and to reduce logging trees, because trees can reduce the CO2. These things can help us to prevent global warming.

Global warming is a very big problem that causes penguins to become extinct. Some people said global warming is a natural thing. They say we don’t have to care about it and we can do nothing, but global warming pushes penguins to go to extinction. An expert, Lyons (2001),said, “The data implies that there may be less food there as temperatures rise,” and some expert “points to the fact that all the global climate models predict a warming will decrease in sea ice along its margins.” Therefore, we still have to find a way to reduce it becoming worse. We can do something like ban some artificial activity that will push penguins to die and to find some solution to prevent and reduce global warming to stop global warming from pushing penguins to die.

In conclusion, global warming is becoming a serious problem to cause penguins to go to becoming extinct. Because global warming is caused by many reasons, and we can prevent. Therefore, to protect penguins from global warming we can find a new home for penguins, we should ban some artificial activity that will push penguins to die, and we have to find some solution to prevent and reduce global warming and stop global warming from pushing penguins to die. In the end, people should help our adorable penguins survive so that everyone can see it forever.

How to save and protect penguins (Research Paper Proposal)

My research paper is about penguins. I chose penguins for my research because they have become endangered. Currently our climate has changed, and the biggest reason is global warming. It pushes penguins to die. Now, a lot of pollution makes global warming and global warming makes the temperatures get warm. And global warming makes the sea temperatures become high until some creatures cannot live in there, and makes the sea ice melt. Therefore, penguins cannot live in their ecosystem anymore. They have to find other land to live on or go to extinction. A century ago, a lot of penguins lived and waddled or swam to some islands. And they could live very well. In the past there was a large number of these animals in our world. And penguins had a lot of different colonies in our world; some were African penguins, Gentoo penguins or Antarctic penguins. Now our society has a lot of developed technology and scientific stuff to use, so we make a lot of pollution in our world. It causes global warming to affect penguins’ life, so penguins become less and less in our world. And our experts have found this problem, so now our government has begun to protect penguins. They are doing some things like cutting greenhouse gases to protect penguins, because they want penguins to survive in our world.

In my paper, I will write that because I like penguins, penguins are becoming extinct, and we make a lot of pollution that causes global warming, to save penguins from the edge of extinction we have to protect penguins. First, we can find a new home for penguins. Next, we should ban some artificial activity which will push penguins to die. Finally, we have to find some solution to prevent and reduce global warming, to stop global warming from pushing penguins to die. Global warming causes penguins to become extinct and we make a lot of pollution, which causes global warming. We must do it.

I have found a variety of articles that give penguins’ history and penguins’ life ecosystems and explain why and how penguins are becoming extinct. Also I found some articles that talk about how to save penguins. I think I still need to find more resource to help me to make a good research paper.
